A record-high wheat harvest of 43,000 tonnes has been gathered in Dubasari district for the first in time in 20 years. This amount equals the total of the harvest of the last 6 years, Info-Prim Neo's correspondent in the Transnistrian area reports. The productivity was 43 quintals per ha this year. Some farmers got up to 50 quintals/ha. Now there are 81 farms in Dubasari district. Most of the farmlands, earlier belonging to collective farms, were leased to three big companies for 99 years. They are „Lender-Agroprim” SRL, „Heres-Agro” SRL and the Tiraspol bakery. They invested $15 million to develop their businesses in Dubasari district. Some 60% of the farmlands in this district in the Transnistrian area have not been cultivated for the last several years.
