Reconstruction of “Saints Archangels Michael and Gavril” Church in Truseni will be exempt from VAT
The reconstruction works on “Saints Archangels Michael and Gavril” Church in Truseni village in the municipality of Chisinau will be exempted from value added tax. The Parliament on April 3 introduced amendments to the list of facilities examined from technical viewpoint, prospected, built and reconstructed by attracting resources donated by individuals and legal entities that are exempt from value added tax, Info-Prim Neo reports.
The legislative initiative was tabled by MP Vasile Grozav. He said that “Saints Archangels Michael and Gavril” Church in Truseni village is a historical and cultural monument of the nation. He voiced hope that the Church will continue to contribute to the spiritual education of the youth and the people.
In October 2004, the Parliament decided to exempt the works on several facilities from VAT. The list includes the Monastic Complex Capriana, the children’s center “Town of Childhood” in Parata village in Dubasari district, the museum complex “Orheiul Vechi” with the monastery built in the rock, the monument to the soldiers that died in the war for Moldova’s independence and integrity of 1992, Cantemir town, Cantemir district.
The exemption from VAT is allowed within the limits of the donated financial resources.
