The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration recommends that Moldovan citizens currently in Russia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan or Tajikistan schedule their flights through countries that have accessible airspace. This comes after it was decided that Moldovan airspace will remain closed until April 25, i.e. throughout the state of emergency.

It is recommended to consider flights like Istanbul, Budapest or Dubai with the final destination in the Romanian cities of Iasi or Bucharest and with a subsequent trip by land to Moldova.

Alternatively, Moldovans can return by buses running from Russia via the EU, bypassing Ukraine.

The MFAEI also urges Moldovan citizens not to make non-essential trips to the Russian Federation and to regularly check updates on the website of the Ministry and of the Moldovan Embassy in Moscow.
