The Ministry of Agriculture and Food Industry recommends the farmers to ensure strict control of the areas intended for the storage of grains and fodder and to separate the grain fields with ploughed strips near roads, forests, bridges and railroads before the grain harvesting campaign, IPN reports.
The reduce the losses and to prevent fires, smoking and use of open fire in grain fields, stubble fields, combines or units of transport in the field are banned. It is recommended taking away the stubbles from fields within two days of the harvesting, when the straw is collected in bunkers.
The combines, trucks and tractors involved in the harvesting works should be outfitted with hot gas exhaust systems, spark arresters and first aid kits. The farmers are recommended to guard nonstop the agricultural machinery at farms.
