Reckless driving blamed for car crash that killed four and injured two other
Police blame reckless driving and speeding for an ugly traffic accident that killed four persons and injured two other persons on Chisinau-Varnita roadway, Info-Prim Neo reports.
According to the police, the accident occurred on the night to Sunday, when a heavy-footed man, 23, driving a Dacia-Logan car along Chisinau-Varnita roadway, lost control of the vehicle, crossed the median line and collided head-on with a Ford-Transit van.
As a result, the driver of the Logan and his mother died on the scene. Two other occupants, both aged 35, died later in hospital. Another occupant of the Dacia, aged 18, and Ford's driver, 50, were admitted to hospital with serious injuries.
