Those who are entitled from Chisinau will soon receive the cold-month allowances for the first three months of the current heating season. The delay is due to the modification of the procedures for collecting applications and for calculating and issuing heat bills.
Head of the Chisinau Public Amenities Division Petru Gontea has told IPN that the local councilors initiated the amendment of the regulations following ambiguities related to the receipt of applications and issuing of bills. It was ultimately decided to sign a contract with “Info Bon” SRL and the bills as from January 5, 2018 have been issued by this limited liability company.
Petru Gontea said the Public Amenities Division gathered together all the applications, no matter where these were submitted, and transmitted them to “Info Bon”. Starting with this month, the recipients will receive recalculated heat bills, with cold-month allowances for October, November and December included in them.
The new and reconfirming applications are filed to housing sector managers or directly to the district head’s office where they are approved by special commissions. About 29,000 families have submitted applications to get heat bills by 40% lower in Chisinau municipality so far.
