Prime Minister Dorin Recean publicly demanded that Alexandru Slusari within 24 hours should retract the statements he made on January 23 in a television program. According to Recean, these statements are false and the fact that Slusari insists on lying shows that his objective is to denigrate the image of the Prime Minister and the Government.

"He knows that he is lying and the question is on whose instructions he does it. I emphasize that I have never met Gușan in my life. Also, I did not have any meeting with Krasnoselsky after I was appointed prime minister," said Dorin Recean.

The official noted that he, on one occasion, talked on the phone with the leader from Tiraspol, during the crisis period.

At the same time, Dorin Recean confirmed that, when he was working for the President’s Office, as a defense and security adviser, he met with Vadim Krasnoselsky, immediately after the beginning of the Russian invasion of Ukraine. The meetings held during that period with the leader from Tiraspol and other people from the region were held exclusively in the presence of the deputy prime minister for reintegration.

"The false accusations disseminated by Slusari are directed not so much against me, but are rather aimed at diminishing people's trust in the government. That is why it is essential that he withdraw them and apologize publicly,” stated Premier Recean.

In response to Dorin Recean's appeal, Alexandru Slusari said that they will clarify things in court.

"Does anyone think that Dorin Recean's threats can scare me? I don't think the man even saw the show in which I talked about his communication with the separatist leaders. He probably read headlines. We will examine those moments in court, if the Prime Minister considers that his dignity was hurt," said Alexandr Slusari.
