Rebeja takes blame for first goal

Moldova's captain Radu Rebeja said that the first goal scored by Israel was the result of a personal mistake in defense. “I regret much that I didn't manage to dispossess my opponent of the ball, which led to a goal in the 39th minute... The second one came as a collective defense error”, Rebeja told Info-Prim Neo. The Moldovan player added that he spared no effort on the field, like the entire team, but that couldn't turn the match around. Moldova lost 1:2 to Israel on Wednesday, after leading 1:0 from the first minute of the game. FIFA agent Leonid Istrati stated that Moldova's defense acted as slowly as it did against Latvia in the opening World Cup qualifier. To inject some creativity and confidence into the squad, Istrati suggested inviting Stanislav Ivanov to join the Selecţionata. “I know, Ivanov would come on foot if invited. He is in great shape and could help the tricolor squad”.
