The Broadcasting Coordination Council (BCC) on April 17 issued a broadcast license to Realitatea TV, which is a generalist-informative TV channel that will be broadcast through satellite, IPN reports.
Attending the meeting, the administrator of the TV channel Dumitru Tira said that this channel has nothing in common with the Romanian channel Realitatea TV.
According to the television project, Realitatea TV will broadcast round the clock and will be a platform for open communication and a credible media instrument with impact in society. The TV channel will broadcast news programs, talk shows, movies, serials, cognitive and entertaining programs, concerts. The editorial staff will produce new programs and talk shows, while the movies, serials and the other programs will be purchased.
The channel’s informative and analytical programs will represent 42%, the educational and cultural programs - 1%, the movies - 41%, while other types of programs - 17%. “Realitatea TV is an idea that deserves attention and I’m convinced that it will be successful,” stated Dumitru Tira, adding that the channel will be launched in June.
BCC member Iurie Colesnic said the television project is good, but the percentage of cultural programs is very low. Dumitru Tira replied that actor and director Mihai Fusu will join Realitatea TV for a new project in September.
