The Municipal Library “B.P. Hasdeu” has launched the ninth reading contest “Book Fight” that is staged in partnership with the County Library “Octavian Goga” of Romania in a move to promote reading and artistic literature as an important factor in the eductaion of teens and to develop the art of oratory. The literray competiton will be held in March-Octobe, IPN reports.
The contest is divided into three age brackets: 11-12 years, 13-15 years, and 16-18 years. The contenders need to read the seven books proposed by a jury and fill out the reading file throughout the contest period. The finalists will present a public plea “Persuade me to read!” in the Grand Final and will answer the jury’s questions about the favorite book. Those with the highest score will become Readers of the Year.
All the participants will vote for the best books and will this way choose the Book of the Year 2023. The finalists will be offered money awards, sets of books and diplomas with support from the Chisinau City Hall and the partners.
To take part in the competition, those interested can familiarize themselves with the regulations on the website of the Municipal Library “B.P. Hasdeu” and need to fill out the application form.
