The Rascani District Hospital was outfitted with medical equipment bought with Japanese funds. The ceremony to put the equipment into operation will be held on May 3. According to the Embassy of Japan in Moldova, the grant provided by the Japanese government was of over US$ 84,000, IPN reports.

A mobile x-ray system and an anesthetic machine were purchased within the project. The new apparatus will help increase the quality of examinations and will ensure high-quality anesthesia. It will be possible to operate more patients without needing to take these to health facilities in Chisinau.

Also, the new equipment will reduce the risk of appearance of complications during surgery, allowing thus to perform more complex operations on the spot. The mobile x-ray system is light and can be handled easily. It can be used to examine patients confined to bed and in surgery wards, if necessary.

It is estimated that almost 9,000 persons will annually benefit from medical services that imply the use of the equipment bought within this project.
