The court sentenced a man who raped the two-year-old daughter of his female partner to 12 years in jail, Info-Prim Neo reports. In a communiqué, the Prosecutor General’s Office says the man was drunk when he attacked the child, while the woman was at her neighbors’ house. The girl’s mother reported the incident to the police only in several months as she said the man threatened her with harassment. No other details of this case are revealed. The sentence can be appealed to a higher court. Last October, another girl aged two, from Glodeni, was raped by her mother’s partner. The woman was working abroad. When she returned to Moldova in several months, she was deprived of parental rights.
