In a number of communities in Rascani district, the rain with hail and high winds did damage. Downed trees blocked roads and the assistance of rescuers was needed, IPN reports.

According to the General Inspectorate for Emergencies, the wind in Borosenii Noi village displaced tiles on the roofs of houses, while in Zaicani village a storehouse was damaged.

A number of villages in Rascani district and also in Drochia district remained disconnected from the power supply last night.

Rain with thunder and lightning was forecast for northern and central Moldova for April 27 as well.
