The May 13 rain with jail destroyed 28 ha of orchards and 11 ha of vineyards in Parjolteni village and also 70 ha of orchards in Horodiste village of Calarasi district, IPN has learned from the General Inspectorate for Emergencies.
Drochia district was also affected. The rain destroyed over 180 ha of sugar beet in Mandac and Drochia.
Local commissions for exceptional situations are gauging the extent of the caused damage.
