The halls of the General Division of Education, Youth and Sport became too small for an exhibition of martsishors made by children of Chisinau kindergartens, entitled “Martsishors 2014”.

The head of the Division’s Preschool Management Service Florica Rusu has told IPN that the exhibited items surprise by their originality and authenticity as they promote traditional elements, folklore and the national values. It will be hard for the 13 members of the jury to choose the most beautiful martsishor. The winner will be announced on March 10. The spring amulets were made with the assistance of parents, educators and managers of kindergartens.

Florica Rusu said the exhibit involves all the 152 kindergartens of Chisinau. A part of the children’s works were displayed at the Chisinau Municipal Hall and the Museum of Ethnography. The jury will offer diplomas to all the participants in the exhibit. The winners will also receive money awards.
