The torrential rain caused damage of over 1 million lei in Costesti village of Ialoveni district, the district’s deputy head Stefan Bivol has told IPN. About 15 km of road were damaged and over 20 homes were flooded in this village.

In Cigarleni village of Ialoveni district, the level of water in the pond rose and there is a risk of floods. In Hansca village, the road to a community house was blocked. In Malcoci, the rain damaged 800 meters of road, while in Nimoreni the central road was covered in mud and several houses were flooded. A similar situation is witnessed in the villages Milestii-Mici, Suruceni, Puhoi and Gangura.
