Radu Rebeja competes for FMF presidency

Radu Rebeja applied for the post of president of the Moldovan Football Federation (FMF). A special commission will to examine the set of documents and will decide if Rebeja can run as a candidate for the FMF presidency, Info-Prim Neo reports. According to the FMF, for being registered officially, each candidate must be put forward by at least 20 affiliated members. Rebeja said he was dissatisfied with the way the election race goes. “The candidates are preoccupied more with the selection of documents instead of discussing with the delegates to the congress. In the meeting with them, I found out that they were already informed by representatives of the FMF that the voting will be open. There are two weeks until the elections, but the form of voting is already known,” said Rebeja. Since 2009, Radu Rebeja, 39, has served as vice president of the FMF and has been responsible for the development of the Moldovan football teams. The current president of the FMF Pavel Cebanu is the only candidate registered officially. He was proposed by 132 FMF members of the total149 members with the right to vote Pavel Cebanu was elected president of the FMF in 1997, and then reelected in 2001, 2005, and 2009.
