Tennis player Radu Albot has qualified for the quarterfinals of the Challenger tournament taking place in Moscow. The prize money of this competition is over US$25,000, IPN reports.
In the second round, Albot beat Bosnian player Tomislav Brkic, who takes the 257th position in the world rankings. Moldova’s best tennis player scored a victory by 4-6, 6-3, 6-2 after a game that lasted for almost two hours. In the quarterfinals, Radu Albot will duel with the second favorite of the competition Teimuraz Gabashvili, who ranks 58th in the world.
Radu Albot also competed in the doubles, where he played together with Russia’s Andrei Kudriavtsev. They were eliminated in the first round by the Russian pair Andrei Rublev - Karen Khachanov.
