Radu Albot has qualified for the Indian Wells Masters’ main draw, which has a prize pool of nearly $10 million.
Albot, currently number 53 in the ATP ranking, defeated the United States’ Krueger, number 160, and Slovakia’s Lukas Lacko, number 133. In the first round of the main draw, the 29-year-old will meet Romania’s Marius Copil, number 76.
The 2019 Indian Wells Masters, also known as BNP Paribas Open, is an annual tournament held in California and is classified as an ATP Tour Masters 1000 and a WTA Premier Mandatory event. All top 75 ranked WTA and ATP Tour singles players were included in the initial entry list. The tournament is the best-attended tennis tournament outside the four Grand Slam tournaments.
