Radu Albot produces surprise in first round of Australian Open

Moldovan tennis player Radu Albot eliminated world No. 13 Roberto Bautista-Agut of Spain by 6-7, 6-0, 6-4, 7-6 in the first round of the Australian Open, IPN reports.

The match lasted for three hours and 17 minutes. It was the first direct duel between Albot and Bautista-Agut. In 2019, the Spanish player competed in the Wimbledon semifinal.

In the second round, Radu Albot meets ATP No. 121 O'Connell Christopher of Australia, who won against Germany’s Jan-Lennard Struff in the first round.
