Moldova’s Radu Albot made a stunning start at the Tennis Grand Slam tournament of Wimbledon. He beat world No. 12 Pablo Carreno Busta of Spain in five sets, IPN reports.
Busta won the first set 6-3. Albot recovered sensationally and won the second set 6-0. The third set was decided on a tiebreaker and was won by the Spanish athlete 7-5. Later Albot won the fourth set 6-2. The fifth set was interrupted when the score was 3-1 for Radu Albot because it was dark. The Moldovan tennis player remained focused and the next day won the last set 6-1.
In the second round of Wimbledon, Radu Albot, world No. 98, meets Slovenia’s Aljaz Bedene, who takes the 71spot in the ATP rankings.
