Moldovan tennis player Radu Albot, world No. 44, failed to qualify for the 1/16 finals of the ATP tournament of Madrid. He was beaten by Spain’s Fernando Verdasco, world No. 38, IPN reports.
Verdasco won the first set by 6-2, while Albot won the second set by 6-3. Finally, the 35-year-old Spanish player emerged victorious after winning the third set by 6-1. The match lasted for two hours and 12 minutes.
On May 7, Radu Albot competes in the doubles together with Georgia’s Nikoloz Basilashvili. They play the Jamie Murray - Bruno Soares pair.
