Radu Albot suffered a defeat in the first round of the ATP tournament held in Acapulco, Mexico, IPN reports.

Currently on the 69th spot in the world rankings, the Moldovan tennis player lost to Spain’s Pedro Martinez, World No. 113, 3-6, 2-6. The match lasted for 1 hour and 32 minutes.

Albot also competed in the doubles alongside Austin Krajicek of the U.S. They were eliminated after being beaten by the South-American duo Martinez/Reyes-Varela 4-6, 6-2, 13-15.
