Moldova’s Radu Albot played two matches of Group B of the Champions Tournament involving the best eight Challenger tennis players that is held in Brazil, IPN reports.

In the first match, Albot lost to Argentine’s Guido Pella, who is considered the second favorite, by 3-6, 6-1, 6-3. In the second game, the 26-year-old player beat Italy’s Marco Cecchinato 4-6, 6-3, 6-2.

This night, Albot will duel with Guilherme Clezar of Brazil. If he emerges victorious, he will compete in the semifinals.

The prize money of the Brazil tournament is US$220 000. The winner will get US$ 91 200.
