Moldova’s tennis player Radu Albot has qualified for the second round at Indian Wells Masters, after easily defeating Romania’s Marius Copil 6-2, 6-2 in a match that lasted only 1 hour and 3 minutes.
This marks Albot’s second consecutive victory over the Romanian player, number 76 ATP, after a 2015 win in Israel.
Next Albot will confront Italy’s Fabio Fognini, number 17 ATP.
Novak Djokovic and Serena Williams are considered the favorites in this ATP Masters 1000 tournament taking place in California.
The 29-year-old Moldovan player is currently ranked 53rd in ATP rankings.
