Moldova’s best tennis player Radu Albot, who takes the 118th position in the world rankings, met his national squad mate Maxim Dubarenko in the 1/8 finals of the ATP Challenger tournament held in Poznan, Poland, IPN reports.
Dubarenko, who now represents Belarus and ranks 311st in the world, lost to Albot 6-3, 6-4 in a match that lasted for 1 hour and 40 minutes. In the quarterfinals, Albot plays against Pedja Krstin of Serbia, who ranks 281st.
Radu Albot is the fourth favorite of the competition. The qualification for the quarterfinals of Roland Garros in the doubles is his best result so far this year.
