The public station Radio Moldova on October 30 celebrates the 85th anniversary of its foundation. On this occasion, an exhibition of the first recordings made in the station’s studios, golden voices and programs of famous journalists of Radio Moldova as well as recordings with such personalities as Maria Biesu and Grigore Vieru was mounted in the hall of the Radio House, IPN reports.
Radio Moldova acting director Veaceslav Gheorghishchenko said the public radio station aims to become more attractive and to have a broadcast schedule for all the age categories so as to suit all tastes. Therefore, in 2008 there was launched Radio Moldova Muzical, while in 2012 - Radio Moldova Tineret. Currently, Radio Moldova employs about 140 journalists, 30 of whom have a rich experience in the field, with the eldest employee being over 70.
Director of the Heritage Department Nina Parfentie said the archive of Radio Moldova includes over 120,000 recordings, among which are musical phonograms in different formats. “The archive of Radio Moldova is a viable one and is used in the programs we produce, in thematic CDs or at different exhibitions,” she stated.
The broadcast schedule of Radio Moldova contains 83 programs. The station has seven editorial staffs and two departments that include the Symphonic Orchestra, the Choir “Moldova” and the Radio Technical Center.
