The Parliament sitting set for July 2 didn’t take place as only 49 MPs of the 101 came together, IPN reports.
Socialist MP Vlad Batrîncea said that by not coming to Parliament today, the MPs played “the game of Plahotniuc” (former Democratic leader Vlad Plahotniuc). “Those from ACUM blocked the prosecutor general’s visit to Parliament and all your statements are null and void as you play the game of the oligarchs,” stated the MP, noting Prosecutor General Alexandru Stoianoglo cannot be questioned this way and those from ACUM actually did a big favor to the leader of Pro Moldova Andrian Candu.
PAS MP Igor Grosu entered the assembly hall and said that if Alexandru Stoianoglo is invited and he comes, the PAS MPs will come to the sitting. “Leave populism aside and close this sitting. If the Standing Bureau is convened and this decides to hold another sitting of Parliament in half an hour, we will come,” he stated.
Igor Grosu also said that if the prosecutor general accepts the invitation, the MPs of the ACUM Bloc will take part in the sitting with a new agenda. “I’ve got the impression that he is fully disconnected from this country. Thrives are released from jail. Lads who beat to death lads are acquitted and he does not see anything. Guys buy MPs, but they sleep. What do those generals promoted by Dodon in the recent past do?” asked the MP.
