A 25-year-old man was shot dead, while another one aged 27 was seriously injured following a dispute with apartment building neighbors. It happened in the evening of January 7 in Botanica district of Chisinau, IPN reports.

According to the General Police Inspectorate, the body of the 25-year-old man was found by the police in an apartment in Botanica at 10.05pm. It was determined that the two young men came to a friend of theirs to celebrate Christmas. At a certain moment, the two went on the balcony to smoke and one of them spat down and the spittle fell onto a neighbor and his son who smoked at a lower balcony. Infuriated, these went up and got into a conflict with the young men, firing their guns.

The father and son were arrested. They face 15 to 20 years behind bars or life for murder.

Press officer of the General Police Inspectorate Vlad Burac said the suspects held the guns illegally. The two have been earlier tried.
