Quarantine in Soroca and Glodeni to be lifted in several days

The quarantine regime in the municipality of Soroca will be lifted on May 8, while in Glodeni town on May 11. The decision was taken in the May 5 meeting of the Commission for Exceptional Situations, IPN reports.

Prime Minister Ion Chicu said that a reduction in the infections with COVID-19 is witnessed in Soroca. The last case of infection was reported on April 24. After Soroca and Glodeni, the quarantine regime will also be lifted in Ștefan Vodă town and in Talmaza village, where the authorities will yet monitor the situation during the next few days.

The Commission also decided that the religious assemblies with the participation of parishioners will be allowed as of May 10, but only in the open air and by meeting the epidemiological requirements. The participants are obliged to wear protective masks and to maintain a distance of two meters between them.

The period of validity of the technical inspection reports for motor vehicles that expired after March 20 will be extended until June 15, 2020.

The authorities decided to offer by 2,775 lei in support to patent holders, persons who carry out individual entrepreneurial activities and agricultural production purchase activities and who haven’t worked during the epidemic. A sum of 34 million lei will be allocated from the state budget for the purpose. The money will be paid without the recipients needing to file applications to the Employment Agency. The lump sums will be paid based on the data possessed by the authorities until June 30.

The Commission authorized new road transport routes, but Premier Chicu didn’t specify for what countries. There were also authorized two flights from Russia.
