Public services provided for people to be modernized

The public services provided for the population by state institutions will be diversified and improved, in accordance with the plan of action for modernizing the public services for 2017-2021, approved by the Cabinet, IPN reports.

The measures provided in the plan of action are aimed at using information technology in the public sector and at increasing the number of electronic services so as to ensure transparent government receptive to the people’s needs.

The authorities also intend to eliminate the outdated public services, to reduce the number of documents required of citizens and to institute transparent and fair tariffs for services provided for money.

The document envisions the creation of a common call center for providing public services, implementation of a common format for electronic content, regardless of its type, and modernization of a number of services provided for the population such as property registration and financial and statistical reporting.

The plan of action is designed to achieve the objectives stipulated in the public administration reform approved earlier by the executive and in the Cabinet’s government program for 2016 – 2018.
