The Public Services Agency will issue identity cards to the people with the right to vote on the election day. February 24 was declared a working day for employees of the subdivisions responsible for the issuing of identity cards, including at multifunctional centers. The employees of the Public Services Agency will issue temporary identity cards between 7am and 9pm, IPN reports.
In a press release, the institution said temporary identity cards during February 19 – 24 will be issued free, at request, to citizens with the right to vote who do not have identification papers or their identity card is not valid. The applicants will not present civil status documents if the information about the personal data and their modification can be found in the State Population Register.
The citizens who filed applications for being issued with an identity card during January 24 – February 21, regardless of the period of providing the requested service and the paid tariff, can collect the identity card until February 22 inclusive. At request, the citizens who will order an identity card on February 22 and 23 will simultaneously receive the temporary identity card free of charge for voting in elections.
