Public servants with 'unsatisfactory' tag will be dismissed
The civil servants whose work will be assessed as 'unsatisfactory” will be discharged from post. Until now, they were relegated or their salary was reduced. The amendment to the law on the status of public servant were adopted in first reading at Thursday's meeting of the Parliament, Info-Prim Neo reports.
Deputy Minister of Justice Oleg Efrim said the amendments are aimed at improving the regulations concerning the public post and the status of public servant. The modified law says the contests for filling the vacant public posts will be organized and held by the public authorities.
The conditions of holding the contest will no more be published in the Official Gazette, but in a periodical. Oleg Efrim said this way the authorities will not incur costs for having the announcement published in the Official Gazette. At the same time, the principle of transparency will be respected as the possible candidates' access to the Official Gazette is now limited.
