Public sector employees will have mini-vacation on August 27-31

The authorities and the public institutions will have a mini-vacation during August 27-31. The Government on July 14 allowed transferring the working day of August 30 to August 21, which is a Saturday, IPN reports.

“Given that August 31 is a nonworking day and it is a Tuesday, it is proposed declaring August 30 a nonworking day and August 21 a working day instead of this. This way, a five-day mini-vacation will be possible from August 27 until August 31,” said secretary general at the Ministry of Health, Labor and Social Protection Igor Curov.

Acting Prime Minister Aureliu Ciocoi said a mini-vacation before the start of the new school year will be welcomed by everyone.

On August 27, Moldova marks the Independence Day, while on August 31 – the National Language Day.

The ministries and other central administrative authorities will ensure the efficient activity of the subordinated units on days declared working ones.

For the units of the real sector of the national economy, the decision is recommendatory in character.
