Public property of about 1 billion lei to be privatized
Public property to the value of almost 1 billion lei will be privatized
in June and July, Info-Prim Neo reports, quoting the Public Property
Agency.
The movie theaters in Glodeni and Stefan Voda will be put up for
investment contests during June 10 – July 15. They need investments to
be reconstructed and reopened. The initial selling price is 2 300 000
lei. Minimum 6 million lei is to be invested in them during three years.
In the same period, an auction will be held to privatize six state-run
companies that have not been sold at previous auctions. Among them is IS
“Moldagroteh”, which is sold for 307 million lei.
On June 30, the unfinished buildings that could not be sold at previous
auctions will be auctioned again. Minimum 1.321 million is projected to
be earned from selling these facilities.
Between July 5 and 8, the Moldova Stock Exchange will hold a round of
outcry auctions to sell state-owned shares in 34 joint stock companies.
Most of them were put up for sale at previous auctions, but remained
unsold. Among the given companies are the Causeni-based SA “Drum” and SA
“Fabrica de vinuri Saratenii Vechi”. In 17 of these companies, the state
owns holdings of over 51%. A sum of 529. 684 million lei is planned to
be obtained from selling the 34 companies.
The total initial price of the state-owned property that is to be
privatized between June 10 and July 15 is 966. 627 million lei. A
private tax of 1% for every transaction is additionally paid into the
state budget.
