The managers of ministries will designate by an internal order a deputy minister and an executive public functionary who will be in charge of the Transnistrian issue, IPN reports, quoting a decision approved by the Cabinet in its April 27 meeting.
The move is aimed at stimulating the achievement of the Government’s country reunification objective and at increasing the level of coordination between the public authorities in the process of implementing the sector reunification policies.
At the request of the Deputy Prime Minister responsible for the implementation of the reintegration policies or of the Reintegration Office of the State Chancellery, the managers of ministries will ensure the activity of the chosen public functionaries so that these help the Reintegration Office work out the materials needed in the negotiation process. They will also take part in the meetings of the sector working groups for promoting the policies to build confidence between the two sides of the Nistru River and will provide assistance in preparing the materials related to their area of competence.
The implementation of this decision will be monitored by the Reintegration Office of the State Chancellery.
