The General Public Amenities Division of Chisinau at the end of June will purchase six tractors that will be used to transport waste and for snow removal works in winter. Vasile Efros, the head of the Division’s Territorial Development and Environment Unit, has told IPN that bids for the tender contest can be submitted by June 9. The company that will propose the lowest price for tractors will be declared winner.

Almost 4 million lei was earmarked in the municipal budget for purchasing the six new tractors.

The General Public Amenities Division now has 55 tractors for transporting waste, but needs about 80 units of transport that would work mainly in yards of apartment buildings. New tractors are bought each year and the number of purchased vehicles depends on the amount that is allocated from the municipal budget, said Vasile Efros.
