Psychiatrists will be also allowed to prescribe compensated psychotropic medications
The psychiatrists, as the family doctors, will have the right to prescribe psychotropic and anti-convulsant medications, which were included in the list of drugs whose price is partly paid by the state, called compensated, Info-Prim Neo reports.
The Government approved a relevant amendment to an earlier decision concerning the method of paying a part of the price of certain medications by the state. According to Minister of Health Vladimir Hotineanu, the move is aimed at facilitating access to such drugs for the persons who consult the psychiatrists, not the family doctors.
Both medically insured and uninsured persons benefit from compensated drugs in Moldova.
