PSRM’s statement in support of Chicu Government

The MPs of the Party of Socialists signed a statement in support of the Government led by Ion Chicu. This way the party publicly assumed the decision not to vote for the motion of no confidence, IPN reports.

In a press release, the PSRM says the MPs on July 17 had a meeting and discussed a series of topical problems and the parliamentary agenda for the next week. One of the themes was the motion of no confidence against the Chicu Government, “which is a project promoted by the chaos alliance Sandu-Candu-Plaha-Shor”.

The Socialist MPs condemned the attempts to destabilize the situation in the country and throw it into chaos amid the pandemic and economic crisis. There was underlined the importance of keeping social peace in the country and continuing offering assistance to the people, including in implementing national infrastructure projects. At the end, all the 37 Socialist MPs signed the statement in support of the Government led by Prime Minister Ion Chicu.

The motion of no confidence against the Chicu Government was proposed by the MPs of the Party “Dignity and Truth Platform”, being also signed by the MPs of the Party of Action and Solidarity. The MPs of the Pro Moldova group said they will vote in favor of the motion.
