The MPs of the Party of Socialists (PSRM) intend to propose increasing the pensions of the persons who retired before 1999. The initiative will cover about 100,000 pensioners, MP Vladimir Odnostalco was quoted by IPN as saying in a news conference.
According to him, the persons who retired before 1999 have smaller pensions that those who retired later even if they have the same insurance period and worked in the same conditions.
Under another legislative proposals drafted by the Socialist MPs, the Moldovans who receive a pension abroad and do not have health insurance in Moldova will be served free at hospitals in Moldova. The bill will be introduced into Parliament and will be presented in the spring-summer session that starts on February 3, 2020.
The MP noted that the PSRM intends to work out a mechanism that would ensure access to high-quality medicines in all the country’s settlements.
Dinari Cojocaru, deputy head of the Socialist group on the Chisinau Municipal Council, said they will suggest organizing free dental examination sessions at schools and kindergartens.
The Socialists noted the regulations on the pay grades in health facilities should be reviewed so as to remove the pay gaps existing between district medical centers and the similar centers of the municipality of Chisinau. They said the list of compensated medicines should also be reviewed so that it is more flexible and is adjusted to the current needs of patients.
