PSRM proposes cooperation project between parties and civil society

The Party of Socialists (PSRM) presented the “Civil Platform” project that is aimed at ensuring cooperation between the political parties and civil society, based on the principle of equality, IPN reports.

The party’s leader Igor Dodon told a news conference that such a project was put forward because Moldovan society goes through a profound crisis and an antidemocratic regime was established in the country, which is ready to block any public initiative.

According to the PSRM, the cooperation between parties and civil society can be based on three directions, namely civil monitoring, initiative and civil resistance. The party is ready to provide its organizational, media and human resources and its political instruments to civil society. It pleads for the creation of a common apolitical public council that will coordinate all the common steps and will work out plans of action, and is ready to cooperate with such a body.

The PSRM is ready to examine all the ideas and proposals of civil society concerning the implementation of this project. In this respect, the first official meeting within the “Civic Platform” with public organizations and figures that will be ready to take an active part in the project and will present their own initiatives will be staged at the end of March.
