The Party of Socialists (PSRM) considers that the federalization of Moldova is the only method of ensuring the country’s territorial integrity. It suggests working out a national conciliation strategy that would be presented to the authorities and civil society of the Transnistrian region, Info-Prim Neo reports, quoting a statement from the PSRM. “It will be a proof of political wisdom if the Moldova authorities recognize publicly the fact that federalization is really the only method by which Transnistria can be peacefully reintegrated into Moldova,” says the PSRM. The party stresses that more measures are needed to increase the reciprocal confidence of the political elites, the population and the economic entities working on the two sides of the Nistru River. The confidence building measures should be divided by areas – political, economic, mass media, social problems, culture, and religion. The Party of Socialists has announced that it is ready to initiate the drafting of such a national conciliation strategy and submit it to the President of Moldova for official approval.
