The Party of Socialists of the Republic of Moldova (PSRM) has launched a portal for gathering petitions - www.petitia.md. According to Socialist lawmakers, the new portal is a transparent and efficient instrument for dealing with people’s problems, IPN reports.
MP Ion Ceban told a news conference that this website will be an electronic instrument for monitoring and cooperation between society and the Socialist lawmakers. Through this system, all the citizens of Moldova, including those who are abroad, will be able to file a petition to the MPs, councilors and jurists of the PSRM. The petition is registered during five minutes. Afterward, the petitioner gets a registration number that can be used to follow online how the submitted petition is being dealt with.
According to Ion Ceban, the people can report the incorrect calculation of pensions and social benefits, passing of dubious court decisions, exertion of pressure on economic entities, illegal constructions, illegal pressure or actions on the part of law enforcement bodies or other state institutions.
The 25 members of the Socialist faction will deal with four areas, in accordance with the specific features of their activity: political, legal, economic and the social sphere. Citizens’ petitions will be submitted to the competent group for examination. Every MP will be responsible for several districts of the country.
The Socialist MP said that all the petitions submitted through the portal will be examined and all the possible ways will be used to solve them. Thus, the lawmakers will make inquiries and file challenges to different public bodies, including the Presidential Office, the Government, Parliament and particular ministries and departments. Furthermore, some of the problems can be raised by the Socialist MPs at meetings of the parliamentary commissions and in sittings of Parliament. The subject will be eventually made public through the mass media.
The public consultancy offices and the jurists of the PSRM will start work in all the country’s districts on February 1.
