The Socialist Party says it is ready for the local and snap parliamentary elections of October 20. At the PSRM National Council today, the Socialists have selected 90% of candidates for the position of mayor and councilor. We will continue to support this parliamentary majority, if we determine what are the fundamental pillars of this government” said Igor Dodon.
As for the local elections, Igor Dodon told the press that "the Socialists that launched or are about to launch their campaigns, are very well prepared and will achieve a very good result".
The PSRM leader, Zinaida Greceanîi, said that the party will run in three of the four uninominal electoral districts in which snap parliamentary elections are held. Vitalii Evtodiev will run in district no. 48: The South Transnistria region, Pavel Artamanov will run in district no. 17: Nisporeni & Strășeni and Svetlana Popa, municipal councilor, will run in district no. 33 in Chisinau.
