The Party of Socialists of the Republic of Moldova (PSRM) in a communiqué informs that at the party’s request, the Federal Migration Service of Russia took a historical decision by which the Moldovan migrants who violated the legislation on migration will be allowed to return to Moldova in the period between November 5 and 30. Afterward, they will be able to return freely to Russia in order to work. All their previous penalties will be annulled.
The PSRM said that it made such a request to the Russian authorities also because the Government of Moldova decided to establish only five polling places in Russia for the November 30 parliamentary elections, IPN reports.
According to the PSRM, the decision was taken after a meeting of the party’s leader Igor Dodon and MP Zinaida Greceanyi with the director of Russia’s Federal Migration Service Constantin Romodanovski. “Thus, all the violations committed by the Moldovans who will leave Russia will be removed from the Service’s database. When they return to Russia, they will be able to resume work freely,” stated Igor Dodon.
The PSRM noted that under the Federal Migration Service’s decision, at least 240,000 Moldovan migrants who violated Russia’s legislation on migration will be able to return to Moldova between November 5 and 30. Afterward, they will be able to resume work in Russia without restrictions.
