“The Communists, if they want, can hold hands with Ghimpu’s Liberals and dance the union round dance in Parliament. I repeated whenever there was the case: the Socialists do not form coalitions with the oligarchs and unionists. Full stop,” the leader of the Party of Socialists (PSRM) Igor Dodon said in response to the open letter calling to dialogue addressed by the Party of Communists to all the parliamentary factions, IPN reports.
“I received a letter from Voronin, addressed to all the parliamentary groups, in which he makes it clear that he wants to govern again. And he also wants the votes of the PSRM for voting in a Prime Minister,” Igor Dodon says in his message posted on a social networking site.
The Socialist leader says not the election of another Premier-puppet, but the holding of early elections and the election of the President by direct vote will allow unblocking the socioeconomic and political situation in the country. What the Communists do is on their conscience.
On June 30, the Communist leader Vladimir Voronin invited the leaders of all the parliamentary parties to come together and discuss the precarious economic and social situation in Moldova so as to find solutions and overcome the crisis. He said that an apolitical Cabinet should be formed, which would be supported by all the 101 MPs. A relevant letter was sent to all the parliamentary factions.
