The political executive of the Party of Socialists (PSRM) will have a meeting on Mach 11 to agree the action plan for overcoming the political, health, social and economic chaos witnessed in the country given the worsening of the situation and the presidential administration’s refusal to have a dialog, IPN reports.
“The institutional stalemate caused by the political crisis that was generated by the presidential administration, the absence of a functional government, the preoccupation of some of the state officials with electoral interests are plunging the country into a chaos as a result of which we see an increasing number of sick people, an alarming number of deaths, economic and social impasses and risk being in lockdown again. All these are generated by the irresponsibility of some of the politicians and institution managers, who refuse to have a dialogue and to put the urgent needs of the citizens and their safety at the forefront,” the Socialists say in a press release.
The steps decided by the political executive of the PSRM will be made public after the meeting.
A week ago, the leader of the PSRM Igor Dodonn requested President Maia Sandu to sign the decree to designate the candidate for Prime Minister who was opposed by the parliamentary majority until March 9 or they will resort to determined actions to stop the political chaos. The presidential administration responded that they do not abide by ultimatums. Last week, President Sandu had consultations with representatives of civil society, law experts and a number of social players.
