Members and supporters of the Party of Socialists (PSRM) and the “Our Party” (PPPN) chanted “Down with the alliance!” and “Resignation!” during a protest in front of the Ministry of Agriculture, where the parliamentary commissions have meetings, staging also a “Corridor of shame’. The protesters demanded that Socialists’ draft decisions concerning the resignation of the head of state, the Government and the heads of a number of state institutions and the election of the head of state by direct vote should be included in the agenda of the meetings, IPN reports.

PSRM member Ion Ceban said that he came with 101 dossiers with draft decisions regarding the dismissal of the administration of the Prosecutor General’s Office, the National Agency for Energy Regulation, the National Anticorruption Center, the National Integrity Commission and other institutions. He added that the MPs must not examine other bills that look like trifles in the current situation. “They should also discuss bills on the rise in salaries and pensions. All the rest does not matter,” stated Ion Ceban.

Ilian Casu, of the PPPN, said they will continue to protest peacefully and regret that the current government hides from the protesters. “Such behavior is typical of an oligarchic regime that is in agony. Down with the thieves!” he chanted.

Supporters of the PSRM and PPPN are protesting in tents pitched in front of the Parliament Building and the Ministry of Agriculture.
