The Party of Socialists (PSRM) and the Party of Communists (PCRM) will compete in this autumn’s local elections separately, but the parties will reciprocally support their candidates with the biggest chances in localities, IPN reports.
The subject was discussed by the leaders of the two politician parties. The politicians analyzed the current situation in the country and agreed the priorities of the parliamentary agenda of the Bloc of Communists and Socialists (BCS) for the immediate period.
“In particular, the parliamentary group of the BCS will present an alternative report on the two years of PAS government. Also, the PSRM and PCRM will contend in elections in parallel, reciprocally supporting the candidates with the biggest chances in the country’s localities,” runs a press release.
For the snap parliamentary elections of July 11, 2021, the PSRM and PCRM founded the Electoral Bloc of Communists and Socialists. After the elections, they formed the group of the Bloc of Communists and Socialists in Parliament.
The local elections were set for November 5 this year.
