PSRM adopts statement on formation of parliamentary majority

The Party of Socialists of the Republic of Moldova (PSRM) is convinced that the parties that formed the ruling alliance, together with the Communists, will suffer a political death after the next elections, while the PSRM will continue to make effort for these elections to be early ones. On January 26, the PSRM adopted a statement on the formation of a parliamentary majority in a meeting of its National Council, IPN reports.

According to a communique of the PSRM, the statement says that the Party of Socialists witnessed the formation of a parliamentary majority by the PLDM, PDM and PCRM. “We ascertained that a coalition of oligarchs, of the three Vlads, was formed as many people anticipated even before the elections. Its goal is to protect the personal property and to jointly manage the power and the financial flows,” says the statement.

The statement also says that the political left in Moldova from now on will be represented by one parliamentary party – the PSRM – which is the only real opposition to the new government. In these conditions, of usurpation of power, the election of the head of state in 2016 can be seriously compromised. “We, the Socialists, plead for the election of the head of state by direct vote and we count on the support of the people, civil society and the diplomatic corps in this respect,” reads the statement.

The Party of Socialists holds 25 seats in Moldova’s Parliament that consists of 101 lawmakers.
